Ketty Getachew begann ihr Studium der Rechtswissenschaft im Wintersemester 2014/2015 an der Goethe Universität Frankfurt und verbrachte zwei Semester an der University of Leicester (Vereinigtes Königreich). Sie war Teil des Frankfurter Teams für den 25. Willem C. Vis Moot Court 2017/2018. Ketty schloss im Juni 2020 den staatlichen Teil des ersten Staatsexamens erfolgreich ab und wird demnächst ihr Schwerpunktstudium „Internationalisierung und Europäisierung des Rechts“ mit einer wissenschaftlichen Hausarbeit mit Fokus auf dem internationalen Zivilprozessrecht beenden. Sie ist seit Oktober 2017 als studentische Mitarbeiterin am Lehrstuhl von Prof. Dr. Langenbucher tätig. Ferner war sie Teil des Dispute Resolution Teams von Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP und zivilrechtliche Tutorin an der Goethe Universität. Ab Oktober 2020 tritt Ketty dem Arbitration Team von Noerr LLP als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin bei und bereitet sich auf eine Promotion vor. Sie wird das Vis Moot Team 2020/2021 als Coach unterstützen.

Ketty Getachew has started her legal studies at Goethe University Frankfurt in winter 2014 and spent her year abroad at the University of Leicester (UK). She participated in the 25^th Willem C. Vis Moot Court 2017/2018 as a member of the Frankfurt Vis Moot Team. Ketty successfully attained the state-administered part of the first state examination in June 2020 and will complete her academic specialisation (Schwerpunktstudium) "Internationalisation and Europeanisation of Law" by submitting an academic paper with a focus on International Civil Procedure. Since October 2017, she is a student assistant to Professor Langenbucher. She has further been part of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer‘s Dispute Resolution Team and worked as a tutor in civil law at Goethe University. As of October 2020, Ketty will join Noerr LLP’s Arbitration Team as a research assistant and she will prepare for a PhD. Ketty is going to support the Vis Moot Team 2020/2021 as a coach.
