Johannes Abrell
Senior Coach / Vizepräsident FMAA
Johannes Abrell studiert seit Oktober 2018 Rechtswissenschaft an der Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt am Main. Im Dezember 2024 absolvierte er erfolgreich die Staatliche Pflichtfachprüfung. Mit Abschluss seiner Wissenschaftlichen Hausarbeit wird er im Herbst 2024 sein Studium mit einem Schwerpunkt in „Internationalisierung und Europäisierung des Rechts“ beenden. Johannes war Teil des Frankfurter Teams für den 28. Vis Moot 2020/2021 und er war Coach des Frankfurter Teams für den 31. Vis Moot 2023/2024. Während seines Studiums war er Studentische Hilfskraft am Lehrstuhl für Straf- und Strafprozessrecht, internationales Strafrecht, europäisches Strafrecht, Rechtsvergleichung und Rechtstheorie von Prof. Dr. Christoph Burchard und Studentische Hilfskraft bei White & Case. Praktische Erfahrungen sammelte er darüber hinaus bei Schadbach Rechtsanwälte und Linklaters. Ab August 2024 wird er als Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter bei rothorn legal tätig sein. Das diesjährige Frankfurter Team unterstützt Johannes als Senior Coach und Vizepräsident der FMAA.
Johannes Abrell studied law at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main since October 2018. In December 2023, he successfully completed the First State Examination (Staatliche Pflichtfachprüfung). He will complete his studies in Fall 2024 with a Specialization (Schwerpunktbereichstudium) in “Internationalization and Europeanization of Law” by completing his Academic Thesis (Wissenschaftliche Hausarbeit). Johannes was part of the Frankfurt team for the 28th Vis Moot 2020/2021 and he was Coach of the Frankfurt team for the 31st Vis Moot 2023/2024. During his studies he has been a student research assistant at the Chair of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedural Law, International Criminal Law, European Criminal Law, Legal Comparison and Legal Theory of Prof. Dr. Christoph Burchard and student research assistant at White & Case. He gained further practical experience at Schadbach Rechtsanwälte and Linklaters. He will be working as a research assistant at rothorn legal from August 2024 onwards. Johannes supports this year’s Frankfurt team as Senior Coach and Vice President of the FMAA.
